ABA for Parents and Infants
ABA can support parents and infants by providing strategies to adapt to evolving environments and developmental changes. Consultations with our Registered Behaviour Analyst help both parents and infants thrive amid new challenges and developmental milestones.
How We Support Infants and Parents
Early Intervention
- ESDM integrates Applied Behaviour Analysis principles with developmental and relationship-based strategies for children under 5, to promote skills and development.
Infant Behaviour and Patterns
- By creating predictable environments and reinforcing behaviours that align with developmental goals, we address common infant challenges across sleep, eating, toileting, and language and play acquisition.
Sleep Consultations
- Establishing consistent routines, reinforcing desired sleep behaviours, gradually fading night wakings, and using data-driven strategies to improve sleep patterns.
Groups and Workshops
- Our Oshawa and Bowmanville locations support parents during the third and early fourth trimester, covering infant sleep, feeding routines, managing parental stress and adjusting to new family dynamics.
Nursery Playcare
- A co-op workspace in Oshawa where infants are engaged by a developmental specialist, giving parents time to focus on work or themselves. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00am to 12:00pm.
RBA services and consultations for parents and infants may be covered by many extended health insurance plans, including Manulife and Canada Life. Please check with your insurance provider for eligibility before purchase.
Nursery Playcare runs from our Oshawa site.
