Speech-Language Therapy
Our speech team assesses and treats communication differences, including speech, language, literacy and social communication. We are well versed in AAC, and we integrate programs such as Jolly Phonics for literacy and Social Thinking for social communication.
Who It Is For
- Children working on speech sounds, language or literacy
- Children who use, or could benefit from, AAC
- Children working on social communication with peers
What Happens in a Session
- Assessment first, so goals are based on what your child actually needs.
- Naturalistic methods rather than drill-based practice.
- Close collaboration with our behaviour analysts, since communication and behaviour are connected.
- We have both a CDA and an SLP on the team, which makes that collaboration straightforward.
Speech-Language Pathology services are covered by extended health benefits. Check eligibility with your provider before purchase.
Goals We Might Work On
- Articulation and speech clarity
- Expressive and receptive language
- Literacy through Jolly Phonics
