Embers for Access Foundation
Embers for Access Foundation is Mount Etna's charitable arm. It is a registered Canadian charity that subsidises autism therapy, respite and camps for families waiting on Ontario Autism Program funding, across Durham Region, Toronto and Waterloo Region.
Why It Exists
OAP waitlists are long, and the wait is the point at which many families stop. Embers exists so that a funding gap does not become a gap in a child's support.
A Registered Canadian Charity
- Embers is a registered charity in its own right, not a discount scheme run by the clinic.
Subsidies During the OAP Wait
- Support is aimed at families waiting on Ontario Autism Program funding, so services can begin before the funding arrives rather than after.
Therapy, Respite and Camps
- Subsidies cover autism therapy, respite and camp programming.
Durham, Toronto and Waterloo Region
- The same regions Mount Etna serves, including our in-home and virtual work in Waterloo Region.
Reducing Barriers, Including for Indigenous Families
- Through Embers we help reduce financial barriers so families from Indigenous communities can receive support without limitation.
Estimate What Services Would Cost
Before you apply for anything, it helps to know roughly what services would cost. The estimator below works out weekly and monthly figures based on the support you are considering.

Applying for a Subsidy
Subsidy decisions are made by Embers for Access Foundation, not by Mount Etna. Applications and eligibility are handled on their site.
