Funding and Fees

Waiting for OAP Core Funding?
While You Wait is our RBA/BCBA-led caregiver program for families who are registered and still waiting. Weekly coaching, eight modules and a monthly funding clinic, from $149 a month, with sponsored seats funded by Embers for Access.
It is caregiver education and coaching, not a funded core clinical services plan. Whether OAP core funding can pay for it is not yet confirmed, so ask your care coordinator first.
How Families Pay

Ontario Autism Program (OAP)
- We are an OAP-approved provider.
Special Services at Home (SSAH)
- SSAH funding is accepted.
Extended Health Benefits
- Including Manulife, Canada Life, Industrial Alliance, Green Shield and Blue Cross. Speech-Language Pathology services are covered by extended health benefits. Check eligibility with your provider before purchase.
Private Pay
- Direct billing is available.
Medical Expense Tax Credit
- Services from a Registered Behaviour Analyst may be claimed as an eligible medical expense under CRA guidelines.
Why There Is a Supervision Fee
Every ABA program includes a mandatory weekly clinical supervision fee of $77.50. That covers RBA or BCBA oversight of your child's program: reviewing the data, adjusting goals, and supervising the clinician doing the sessions. It is charged weekly for as long as the program runs, so budget for it alongside the hourly rate rather than as an extra.
Do I Need a Diagnosis?
You don't need a diagnosis to access our services. A diagnosis can, however, open funding routes that cover them.
As of July 1st, 2024, Behaviour Analysts in Ontario (formerly known as BCBAs) who are registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) are now recognized under the protected title Behaviour Analyst as regulated health professionals. In accordance with Canada Revenue Agency medical expense guidelines, services provided by Registered Behaviour Analysts, as certified health professionals, are considered tax deductible and may be claimed as eligible medical expenses.
